This course is aimed at students who would like to gain credits from both Physical Education and Outdoor Education domains. You will work through a range of theory-based standards and practical skills, applying these within school and offsite. Topics may include but are not limited to: Rock climbing, day tramping, mountain biking, overnight camping, high/low ropes and group processes.
Prerequisites: Active participation and engagement in junior HOPE What pathways does this subject lead to: OED and PED 200/300
Subject Specific Requirements: Nil Key Skills gained: Self-management, risk identification and minimisation, movement strategy
Parental contribution: Food for their child for trips and camps.
Gear requirements: Thermals, beanie, rain jacket, sun hat, woollen socks, fleece.
