Course Description

Mathematics is fundamental in being able to solve problems. Mathematics can be challenging, but it is useful in a variety of professions and future pathways. In this course, students have the option to choose which assessments they study.

The Statistics standards are chosen to emphasise statistical insight and understanding as well as prepare students for a range of tertiary courses.
Statistics: Time Series (AS91580), Inference (AS91582), Bivariate Data (AS91581), Experiments (AS91583)

The Algebra and Calculus standards are chosen to prepare students for mathematical pathways in Mathematics, Engineering and Physical Sciences at a tertiary level.
Algebra / Calculus: Linear Programming (AS91580), Simultaneous Equations (AS91587), Trigonometry (AS91575), Conics (AS91573), Differentiation (AS91578)
