Cake Boss (B11)

Course Description

 Food / Maths

Students will trial a variety of cake flavours and sizes and then work in pairs of groups of three to design their own 2 to 3 layer cake as the final assessment calculating quantities required for cake and icing.

  • Bake and ice a cake creation 
  • Prepare a budget 
  • Adapt provided recipes to required quantity 
  • Calculate the cost of overall cake
  • How much could they sell the whole cake/ slices for to make a profit
